Getting my United airlines statement in the mail today, Year to date on United airlines = 107,299 (that is 6 months of travel)

In the States, you have SAG, AFTRA, AEA. In the UK, you have British Equity, Canada has ACTRA, and in Australia, the union that oversees the guidelines and protects actors is the MEAA, The Media Entertainment Arts and Alliance.

While I cannot stress enough the importance of understanding the Unions policies, how to obtain membership and how the Unions can protect you and an actor wherever you work.

I had time while in Sydney to meet with the administration and understand more of what they do for Australian Actors.

Well it may not be 5 star dining, but the Sydney Airport First class lounge serves beautiful salads, a massive collection of Australian wines and good old American Hots Dogs!

Not a bad way to start a 15 hour flight back to Los Angeles.
